Abstract

This research is motivated by the reality that da'wah activities have penetrated into the cells of society. Not only in cities, da'wah has reached the pores of village communities far from urban areas. The esoteric model of preaching or the ethical model looks for its own place to adapt to the dynamics of its own society. Dai as a da'wah actor metamorphoses into the atmosphere of the object of his da'wah to make an invitation, he really merges into one, in the same spiritual atmosphere as the object of his da'wah, the preacher's activities in society carry out a transformation of Islamic values   so that community cohesion is built strongly. In the real picture in the Sombomerten community, Islam is embraced and practiced without any complaints at all and the community enjoys Islamic values   as an identity. The question arises as to how da'wah activities can build the cohesiveness of the Muslim community in Sombomerten Yogyakarta.

The research method used is in-depth interviews, where the researcher really conducts interviews in detail, including making observations, observations which are carried out by participant observation and are truly involved in community activities.

The results of the research show that da'wah activities have become a daily activity for residents, every day residents perform congregational prayers at the Nurul Muttaqin Mosque, every week for men the Friday prayer is mandatory to listen to the sermon, on Sunday nights there is mujahadah, especially in the month of Ramadlan there is takjilan accompanied by lectures before breaking the fast, the evenings of tarawih and tadarusan, the annual da'wah activities include Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. The second moment of this holiday becomes a medium of friendship for all residents because those who usually don't go to the mosque all go to the mosque for friendship. Temporary activities such as commemorating Islamic holidays such as the Prophet's birthday and social activities such as community service and tahlilan. Nearly all Sombomerten children are instilled in Islam from an early age through AEC.
